RCSAC vounteers are the face of our organisation. They offer sympathetic and practical advice on crime prevention and Community Safety Issues to victims of crime and those in fear of crime via our drop-in advice Centre in Rotherham, our telephone advice service or by our successful outreach service.
We are looking for volunteers, who are understanding, good listeners, who enjoy socialising and helping others of all ages, cultures and backgrounds. If you are interested please read on for information on the benefits of volunteering and how to apply.
Whats in it for me?
Volunteering is not just about you giving something back to your community (even though this is fantastic). Volunteering is now being widely accepted as the thing to do if you want to gain experience in another line of work. Volunteering enables you to train in a new environment, learn new skills, gain invaluable work experience, obtain upto date references and support with job/college applications. We also reinburse volunteer out of pocket expenses including a contribution to childcare costs.
How do I find out more information or apply?
1) Email you enquiry or application pack request to info@rcsac.co.uk (don't forget to leave your name and postal address if you are requsting an application pack)
2) If you prefer to talk to someone you can contact Stephanie Seymour on 01709 374650 who will answer any questions you may have and send you out an Application Pack through the post.
3) If you like to get a feel of a place and the people you can drop into our Centre on Howard Street, Rotherham where someone will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have and provide you with a application pack.
